THE HUSTLER FUND AND KSH 50,000 BUSINESS START-UP

The president of the republic of Kenya, William S. Ruto recently launched the "Hustler Fund" program, which aims to assist SMEs (Small Business Enterprises) in regaining their footing following the crippling effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Consider the following simple business start-up ideas:

     1. MAIZE BOILING BUSINESS

Setting up this type of business is very simple, and the prerequisites are not difficult to find as long as you know where to get your stock at a lower price. Each corn costs about Ksh 15. After deducting your expenses (firewood/charcoal, Jiko/Stove), you can easily sell it for twice the price and make a profit of Ksh 1,000, or even more depending on where you sell it. Selling on a busy street will earn you more money than selling in a compound with fewer visitors.

2. WEB DESIGN

Nowadays, an increasing number of businesses are going online to target not only the local market but also international buyers.
There aren't many web designers in the area. As a result, most business owners must rely on freelancers from other countries.
Why not seize the opportunity and begin providing web design services? Sign up for a web design course to learn the skill, and you'll be able to sell web design services in a year or two.
You don't need to rent a space or apply for a business permit because it's an online business. You're good to go as long as you pay your taxes.
So, Ksh 50,000 will be sufficient to launch a portfolio website where you can self-advertise. You can earn between Ksh 10,000 and Ksh 50,000 for each website you design, depending on your skill level.

3. YOU TUBE

A YouTube channel is another venture you should consider. We have several Kenyans who started YouTube channels in 2020 and were making millions by 2021.
Starting a YouTube channel is completely free; all you need is a good camera and access to the internet. However, you should post content that will pique the interest of your readers.
To begin earning money, your channel must be at least 12 months old, have 1,000 subscribers, and have 4,000 watch time hours.
YouTube pays between Ksh 60 and Ksh 150 per 1,000 views in Kenya. You'll earn more than ksh 200,000 if you get 1 million views.

4. BLOGGING

If you put in the time and effort, there are numerous ways to make money from blogging. Although every business requires hard work and a lot of energy, blogging is no exception.
Writing, advertising, affiliate marketing, consulting, and coaching are just a few of the ways you can make money.
The more readers you have, the more well-known your blog becomes, and the more advertisements you receive through your blog, and Alas! Money begins to trickle in.

All of the ideas are good, but here's some business advice: "Always do what you love, and that will be your ultimate weapon toward success."

So, after all of that, what do you think are the best ideas to kick-start your business journey?
